Job Description

If youre looking for a leading role in challenging Engineering projects, Blueprint Recruitment have the perfect opportunity!Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a leading Design, Engineering and Project Management Consultancy on a permanent basis. This position gives the successful candidate the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis, attending our clientsBirmingham office 3 times per week. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work on a range of exciting and unique design and construction projects in the UK and overseas.You will be working with our clients Buildings Structures team to deliver creative Engineering services and integrated solutions across a wide range of building and infrastructure projects in various sectors, including, Energy, Transportation, Defence,Education and Residential.Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality structural Engineering design

  • Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities
- Deliver and lead multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion, ensuring they stay within budget and adhere to the schedule.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, contractors, design teams, and third parties
  • Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team
  • Effectively manage own time, particularly if allocated to more than one project
  • Assist in managing the broader team through mentoring and training, contributing to the overall development and success of the team
Key Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer (Mistrusted or MICE)
  • Experience in Building Design with a good understanding of current design standards and working practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to support client relationships
  • Ability to manage and work to budget and program, control costs, and manage change control processes
  • Technically excellent Engineer with established skills and delivery capability
  • Experience in acting as a Discipline Lead and/or Project Management
  • Proven experience in developing projects from concept to construction stage
  • The ability to develop scopes of work and delivery programs
  • Experience working with and managing small focused project teams
  • The ability to make decisions, act on your initiative, and operate in a proactive way,
  • A curious-minded individual who enjoys the stimulation of exchanging ideas with others
