Due to the recent award of new projects, a leading manufacturer to the automotive and aerospace sectors has a new vacancy for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer. Working on a number of innovative projects you will be involved from concept through todelivery and will be responsible for the development of electronics system designs.Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, West Bromwich, Redditch, Solihull, Warwick, Castle Bromwich, Leamington Spa.Salary: £ 50,000 - £ 65,000 + excellent benefitsSuitable for: Principal Software Engineer, Principal Embedded Software Engineer, Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Software Engineer. The RoleAs the Principal Embedded Software Engineer you will be involved at all stages of the design and development processes, from inception to development and release of embedded software systems. You will be working on a number of innovative and well publicisedprogrammes with and an expanding company.Key responsibilities will include:Provide technical delivery and leadership of embedded software activities.Creation and management of software requirements.Architectural design of the software.Development and testing of embedded C code.Integration of application and base software.Support system integration activities, and provide debugging capability during development.Interface with customers and suppliers.Work closely with other engineering teams like hardware electronics or controls.Support and mentor junior engineersThe CandidateDegree qualified in an Engineering or Science related disciplineExperience successfully supporting projects in an engineering environment, either in an OEM, Tier 1 or engineering consultancy.Supporting systems engineering processes and software development lifecycleExperience of embedded firmware development, deployed onto and interfacing with bespoke hardwareSignificant experience of C/C++ languages in real-time embedded systemsExperience of AUTOSAR and MISRA C coding standardsThe design of functional safety compliant softwareExperience of software developmentBench testing and practical validation of software functionality and safety requirementsFor more information and to apply for the role of Principal Embedded Software Engineer please send a CV to James Charlett.
