A difference to the world you live in; the communities you engage with; even the development of your career and the profession.What youll be doingBWB Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant at Principal to Associate level who will be based in our London, Birmingham or Leeds office, working closely with our national M&E Building Physics and Environmental Consulting teams.This is a fantastic opportunity that will entail leading projects, strategic and technical delivery alongside client engagement for our Sustainable Advisory Services work stream, delivering best in class results for our clients, and preparing engaging thought-leadershipfor our social media channels and networks.The role will be externally facing and the individual should be confident in leading projects and business development activity with an ability to identifying cross-selling opportunities.At BWB we are passionate about the environment and supporting our clients in the delivery of sustainable solutions to complex problems.Our Sustainability services include:

What youll bring

• Experience working with complex data on a wide variety of projects.
• Experience in calculating carbon from organisations and across the lifecycle of capital development schemes, with in-depth knowledge of the buildings and infrastructure sector.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented and passionate about supporting clients making the change from business as usual to best practice.
• Have demonstrable experience leading the growth of successful, high performing teams.

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:

• Preparing and delivering sustainability strategies, action plans and statements in relation to new and redevelopment/ refurbishment projects.
• Strong experience in developing achievable sustainability, net zero carbon and/or ESG strategies for buildings and portfolios.
• Managing and delivering the reporting of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
• Engage with and influence design in the full lifecycle of built environment projects.
• Experience at a site or organisational level to influence and successfully implement long term sustainability goals.
• Experience of leading/ delivering BREEAM, LEED, WELL assessments and undertaking GRESB reporting at a property and/or portfolio level.
• Knowledge of GLA requirements for whole life carbon assessment and circular economy statements.
• Helping clients achieve circular economy outcomes, including the assessment of materials and waste to identify sustainable alternatives.
• Leading discussions with clients, writing compelling proposals and building relationships.
• Supporting business development initiatives in the form of thought leadership pieces and social media articles.
• Personable, with an ability to foster good working relationships and excellent experience of managing projects.
• Degree in Sustainability and experience of developing and delivering Sustainability strategies, action plans and statements.
• Experience in Consultancy
• Demonstrable BD skills and excellent at building and maintaining relationships
• Experience of writing thought leadership blogs
• Ideally be Chartered or be Practitioner working towards chartership
