Job Description

Your new roleAs Principal Asset Management Advisor you will be responsible for improving the organisations asset management capability. This role will report to, and support the Head of Asset Management Strategy. You will be pivotal in developing and communicating AMpolicy, strategies and processes across all levels in the company through collaboration to enable successful delivery and embedment across the organisation.To excel in this role, you will need to have previous experience in developing and delivering asset management solutions within infrastructure sectors. You will be part of the team that is leading the asset management transformation from the front and keenfor you to offer good practice advice and build on organisations existing capability. Considering this is a cross-directorate multi-disciplinary transformation, experience of delivering change and transformation is highly sought out for. This is a newly createdrole will give you the opportunity to make it your own to enable you to develop and deliver asset management approach for our organisation.For this role, we will consider any of our National offices for the right candidate. This is a challenging yet exciting opportunity to join a Division that has a great ethos and values individuals both on a personal and professional level.What youll be leading on

  • Support in development and implementation of asset management policies, strategies across National Highways working with the supply chain.
  • Support leadership team in setting and communicating the direction of asset management
  • Engage with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders and senior management across National Highways.
  • Support the delivery of objectives and ensure, where relevant, compliance with commitments and legal obligations
To be successful
  • Experience of developing and delivering asset management activities like Organisations AM policy and strategy, developing long term Life Cycle Plans and developing risk based approach to inspections and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of applying principles of good practice asset management (e.g. Well Managed Highways) and international standard like ISO55000.
  • Preferable experience in working in an operational environment.
  • Good understanding of technical issues and challenges of infrastructure organisations
  • Demonstrable evidence of working with dispersed and complex teams.
  • Demonstrable evidence of engaging with key stakeholders at a senior level (including internal management, supply chain, government and regulators) to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proven experience in managing programme governance and reporting as well as effective risk management, in line with APMP principles.
  • Proven experience in managing projects including financial and performance reporting.
