Job Description

Job title: Brake Press Setter - Amada HFE Salary Range: £12.00 - £13.00 per hour Hours: 06:00 - 14:00/14:00 -22:00 rotational shift Location: Birmingham Contract to Hire role working for a manufacturing business within the aerospace, automotive, plant construction equipment and truck and bus sectors. 2 Brake Press setters are required with the knowledge of setting and operating Amada HFE press brake machines. Candidates with experience of setting 220, 100 and 50 tonne Amada brake presses will be well received.Due to a new workload this client based in Birmingham requires 2 dynamic, leading press brake setters to work on a contract to hire basis. As a Press Brake Setter, you will be required to:

  • Set and operate Amada HFE brake press machines
  • Tool change and set several times per shift
  • On-line quality checks and measurements with gauges, verniers and micrometres
  • Medium volume batch sizes
  • 85-90% of setting will be for light duty products
  • Meet production targets
  • Recording production and quality documentation
    • The Press Brake Setter must have the following skills or experience:
  • At least 5 years setting Amada HFE brake press machines
  • Medium to high volume production
  • Good solid background with quality inspection and measuring of own produced parts
  • Working independently with minimum supervision
  • Working with high volume small parts
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment
