Job Description

Role: Power Systems Engineer Location: West Midlands Competitive Salary Overview:We are currently recruiting for an experienced Power Systems Engineer to work for our client, the role will be home based supporting their team and will be involved in managing various aspects of the electrical power systems, which include Diesel Generators, PV systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems or Microgrid projects.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide a consultative approach in the field of electrical systems of BESS, micro-grid and distribution system.
  • Set out the ratings of equipment, technical specifications and the general design of BESS and micro-grids, Generators, generator protections, generator breaker, power transformer, MV and LV motors, electrical auxiliaries.
  • Take charge of RFP’s, technical-commercial analysis,sizing systems and assuring compliance with the requirements, approaching vendors, etc.
  • Able to supervise and support the implementation of power projects.
  • Support the business development team by technical or technical- economic analysis and during meeting with potential clients.
  • Support the sales team for the technical methodology of offers.
  • Take part in assess the remaining lifetime and general condition of the electrical equipment in existing installations.
    • Qualifications:
  • A Degree in Electromechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent),
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the field of electrical power generation (conventional and renewable) and/or electrical distribution.
  • Proven experience in implementing power projects.
