Job Description

PLANNER / SCHEDULER - BIRMINGHAM - 12 MONTH CONTRACT - £55/HR OUTSIDE IR35ARM are working with a global engineering consultancy to find an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join them in the Birmingham office on a hybrid basis working on highways framework projects.About You:You will be an experienced Planner / Scheduler that has worked within a governance workstream, ideally on National Highways frameworks. You MUST already have, or be eligible & willing to obtain, BPSS Clearance.What you will be doing:On a weekly basis the planner/scheduler would need to meet with the workstream leads and stakeholders in different sessions that the planner/scheduler would set up in order to update and maintain the plan. Specifically, this could include:

  • Drive delivery of the Operational Technology workstream plan.
  • Assure planning activities across the Operational Technology programme working with multi-skilled, geographically dispersed team/s and multiple suppliers.
  • Continuously review and update all plan timelines, dates and dependencies to ensure that they are accurately reported.
  • Develop plan reporting procedures aligned with needs of the NH Leadership team and give an accurate and up-to-date picture of progress against which meaningful information can be gained and decisions made.
  • Prevent scope creep and to keep specifications clear while also identifying what isnt included within the projects bounds.
  • Define deliverables and any expectations surrounding these, such as quality and timing.
  • Track all activities to make sure the team is sticking to the specifications.
  • The plan needs to be completed weekly and printed in AO format.
