Job Description

Reed in Partnership is a public service provider specialising in skills training for the long-term unemployed, increasing employment opportunities by working with employersand providing youth services.The Restart Scheme gives Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 12 months enhanced support to find jobs in their local area. Following referral from their local Jobcentre Plus, participants receive 12 months of intensive personalsupport from the Restart Scheme. This support helps them to break down their barriers to work and secure sustained employment.About the roleA Performance Optimisation Executive is responsible for the extraction, interpretation and presentation of business-critical data in order to support contract delivery. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Performance Optimisation Executivewill form strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure contract performance is maximised, and consistently maintained.The Performance Optimisation Executive will ensure that we are able to drill down into specific, time sensitive operational issues where we do not have the full functionality of OrionThe post holder will, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, develop local and regional initiatives aimed at driving business performance and creating positive, high performing teamsHighlights of the responsibilitiesData Analytics and Reporting

  • Extracting business critical data, interpreting and presenting in an engaging way to senior leadership team
  • To develop and share better reporting; driven by operational needs, within the limitations of the system.
  • Manipulate and present data, utilising available tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI etc.), that is easy to use and understand. Be comfortable using excel to manipulate data and presenting this to key stakeholders
  • Offer evidence based, commercially beneficial solutions
  • Review and suggest improvements to the MI to continuously improve production efficiency or end user experience.
Stakeholder Management
  • To be able to effectively build and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Form strong relationships with our Prime provider, and ensure contract performance is exceeding expectations
Communication Skills
  • A strong communicator, you will be able to engage with staff at all levels of the business.
  • Confident in delivering engaging presentations.
  • Writing effective communications that are clear, concise and tailored to the relevant audience.
Performance Focus
  • Collaborate with Programme Director/ SOMs/OMs to deliver regional activities aimed at increasing branch performance.
  • Help create high performing teams through the creation of activities and league tables
  • Monitor and evaluate success of initiatives, constantly reviewing processes to achieve desired outcomes
Skills & experienceEssential Attainments:
  • Experience working with large volumes of data within excel
  • Experience presenting large volumes of data in easy-to-understand formats
  • Experience of utilising multiple systems and learning new technology.
  • Experience of managing key stakeholders to deliver effective results.
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
Desirable Attainments:
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment, data driven environment
  • A degree or equivalent level 6 qualification.
  • Direct previous experience of a similar role. Roles considered to be similar include Data Officer, Compliance Officer.
  • Fluency in community languages. Community languages may include Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian and Greek (Dependenton programme).

  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment that is subject to regular change.
  • Commercially focussed and capable of providing people focussed interventions that support the delivery of business objectives without compromising HR policies and procedures or endangering the psychological contract.
  • Ability to rapidly analyse and understand issues/information and use such information to make decisions or put forward recommendations that are both robust and defensible.
  • Skilled influencer capable of gaining commitment and support from key stakeholders.
  • Confident in dealing with staff at all levels, willing to challenge and confront where appropriate, engendering trust and confidence in their expertise.
  • Attentive to detail, particularly when constructing and reviewing project plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tactful and discreet in handling sensitive personal information.
  • Highly organised and methodical.
  • Acts with integrity, impartiality and independence, balancing personal, organisation and legal parameters.
Desirable Criteria:
