Job Description

Im currently on the market for HR Functional analyst / People Systems Administrator / HRIS people to become HR system migration / SaasS SMEsBased in central Birmingham at fantastic new offices, you will be a key member of the team responsible for the in-life management of this international companys People Systems; covering the solution design, build, and issue management of one of the largest HR technology migrations to date.

  • You will be responsible for the business administration and configuration of the People Systems
  • Working with the HR Transformation Squad, you will initially transition ownership of the system from the programme in to the BAU operation.
  • Work closely with the HR Transformation as the future systems roadmap is developed and delivered, taking accountability for all in-life functionality.
  • And play a key role in ensuring the company continues to fully exploit and benefit from future product developments - working across the community, HR, vendors and other customers.

  • Understanding of the HR function within a global corporate organisation including local HR legislation impacts on systems and processes
  • Experience of working e2e across a service delivery value chain

  • Technical experience/skills
  • In-depth knowledge of a HR SaaS solution ( SAP SuccessFactors / Work Day / Ceridian / PeopleSoft for example)
  • Excellent documentation and written communication skills (workbook updates, creating support tickets, etc.)
  • Experience in requirements gathering and driving true SaaS adoption
  • Understanding of basic XML concepts, system development and testing
  • Understanding of GUI; radio button, pick lists, and other configuration items
  • Working knowledge of tools used in a run team environment e.g. ticketing tools, testing

  • THE ROLE detail:
  • Responsible for the global processes and system(s) within their SME specialised area as defined above
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in various internal and external user groups
  • Partner with key stakeholders, Global Process Owners, Product Owners, Solution Administrators, Technology and vendors sharing knowledge and delivering the expected colleague experience
  • Accountable for the configuration, maintenance and operation of the system(s) including:
  • undertaking configuration and ensuring the associated data workbook remains up to date
  • providing in-life operational support including administration and configuration changes as required
  • oversee daily administration and maintenance of the system, working with internal colleagues and 3rd party vendors as required
  • manage module specific role based permissions
  • perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of the system
  • manage data integrity issues (e.g. duplicate data)
  • execute mass data changes as needed
  • be the point of contact for escalation issues
  • create and administer end user surveys to solicit feedback on processes & systems
  • Responsible for managing SaaS Updates and change requests including:
  • keeping up to date with vendor roadmaps and SaaS Update functionality due to be released
  • reviewing vendor release notes and advising the Product Owner on mandatory and optional functionality available per release including providing recommendations on timings for deployment
  • configure test and production environments within required timescales
  • provide training and support to the HR Systems Testing team as required
  • create and update system processes, procedures and support documentation for each release
  • provide end user training and adoption materials and supporting collateral to ensure ease of use and high levels of adoption
  • perform quality assurance checks on system configuration changes
  • communicate planned systems downtimes
  • troubleshoot and resolve problems related to upgrades, releases, fixes, & enhancements
  • Responsible for providing in-life support for colleague issues including:
  • ensuring self-serve information is personal, simple, brilliant and continuously improved
  • colleagues issues raised via a ticket are resolved in a timely manner and within KPIs when unable to resolve the issue work pro-actively with Technology and / or the system vendor to ensure a timely resolution
