Job Description

Our client, based in South Birmingham, is currently recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor on a permanent basis.The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full time basis and is 100% office based. The salary is negotiable based on experience for this position.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in this sector, and be CIPP qualified or studying towards their qualification.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Processing one monthly payroll for approximately 14000 employees
  • Holding responsibility for one direct report
  • Calculating and processing all necessary deductions from pay including, SMP and SPP
  • Maintaining up to date payroll records and recording all changes to pay, allowances and shift patterns
  • Ensuring compliance with pension auto- enrolment schemes
  • Liaising with site administrators and HR department to resolve payroll queries
  • Preparing bank payments for regular payments such as PAYE, childcare vouchers and attachment of earnings orders
  • Processing tax year end and preparing P11D’s, P45’s and P60’s
  • Experience required:
  • CIPP qualified or studying towards their qualification
  • Minimum two years’ experience within the sector
  • Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • Experience supervising Payroll Officers
  • Prior experience on the system ITrent is desirable, however not essential
  • Great attention to detail
  • Working hours:
  • Full time
  • Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm
