Im currently working alongside a leading brand in their recruitment of an interim Payroll Specialist on a 12 month FTC. Based in Birmingham and paying circa £30k-£35k based on experience.Key Responsibilities of Payroll Specialist:* Responsible for the accurate input of monthly payroll and benefit information within agreed timescales* To ensure compliance with all statutory legislation including but not limited to PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, GDPR, and pensions* Work on system integration* To support the payroll manager align the payroll, benefits, sickness and annual leave processes across the organisation* Support the payroll manager to ensure the total reward package remains competitive.* Undertake any such project or request to drive continuous improvement in relation to payroll and HR processes.The success candidate will have the following:* Highly competent payroll professional showing excellent attention to detail* Able to administer all monthly payroll tasks including starters, leavers, and amendments* To have an excellent understanding of non-standard working practices including shift work, working time directives and part time working.* Ability to work independently and proactively, planning, and prioritising workload ensuring that payrolls are processed accurately and in a timely manner.* To have strong planning and organisational skills ensuring that all timelines are planned for and met including monthly processing, yearend including P11D processing.* Demonstrate excellent communication skills* Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office functions, particularly Excel and Word* To have knowledge of ADP payroll system and time and attendance systemsRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
