Job Description

Payroll Clerk12-month FTC - Full TimeBirmingham£25,995 per annumAre you an experienced end to end payroll specialist Are you looking for an FTC If so, this is the role for you Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join their team in Birmingham City Centre on a 12-month Fix term contact.The role will be to provide accurate, complete, and timely data entry, processing, and maintenance in the payroll system. Other areas of responsibility include working closely with employees and the business in providing quality support, advice, and queryresolution.Key Responsibilities

  • Weekly and monthly payroll processing to the tight deadlines for over 1000 employees.
  • Processing new starters, leavers, personal changes.
  • Uploading and verifying tax codes changes.
  • Administrating absences and processing statutory payments - SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP
  • Auditing payroll
  • Reviewing payroll processes.
  • Weekly and monthly payroll reconciliations.
  • BACS creation and submission.
  • Payroll reporting.
  • Finance reporting.
  • Administrating pension schemes.
  • Assisting and promptly resolving payroll queries.
  • Processing at hock payments.
  • Processing Court orders, AOEs etc.
  • Managing and ensuring good relationship with clients/locations.
  • Resource Link - desirable
  • Payroll Technician Certificate (PTV) via the CIPP, or equivalent - desirable
Skills
  • Well organised, methodical, and diligent.
  • Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, resulting in building of excellent relationships and trust.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, inquisitive, and proactive in prioritising workloads.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with professional finance colleagues, all employees and staff managing departments/divisions.
  • Flexibility to undertake wide range of roles/responsibilities and always willing to learn new skills.
