Are you an experienced pattern cutter/ sewing machinist seeking a full-time temp to perm opportunity in the Central Birmingham area With free parking, longer-term salary progression, and partial training, this is an ideal role for a time-served embroiderer / fabrics specialist with a particular focus in a manufacturing setting.Our client supply specialist insulation padding and bespoke covers for the plumbing industry – as such you would need to proficient with reading basic drawings and working to one-off customer requests. Pattern CutterMonday-Thursday 7:00am- 3:30pmFriday- 7:00am- 12:00pmBreaks9:30am- 9:45am (15 minutes)12:00pm- 12:30pm (30 minutes)2:00pm- 2:15pm (15 minutes)Pay rates- Between £8.91 - £9.30 per hourThe job involvescutting out insulation covers from measurements and/or drawings using silicone fiberglass cloth.Using the paperwork they will mark out the measurements for the patternonto the cloth and cut them out manually or using cutter equipment. You must be physically fit as you will be on your feet throughout the shift.Ideally a background in cutting or sewing would be beneficial but all training will be provided. You must have enthusiasm to want to learn new skills, be quick at learning, work well on their own as well as in a team andwork well under pressure if needed.Ideal skill-sets will include;- Experience in handling fiberglass insulation products- Proven background as a pattern cutter- Familiar with a range of sewing machinery / stitching a number of different fabric typesIf you are interested in applying for our Pattern Cutter vacancy, please click to apply or email
