Job Description

Quantity Surveyor - Painting & Decorating CompanyMy client is a specialist painter & decorators company, providing quality services across Commercial, Residential ,Public Sector & Heritage projectsSince opening their doors to for business in 1960, this company has been fully dedicated to client satisfaction. In all that they do, they strive to work meticulously and with integrity in order to provide high-quality results in all their projects.With over 60 years’ experience, their DBS checked Painting team, are able to meet tight deadlines leading to minimal disruption to the operations of all projects.The majority of work is carried out in Commercial (Hotels, Schools).They are looking for Quantity Surveyor’s of varying experience, local to Birmingham. Experience in painting & decorating is not essential, but preferred.Key responsibilities:

  • Pricing and forecasting the cost of the components needed for a project.
  • Tracking the changes to the design of work and adjusting budget projections in line with these.
  • Selecting and sourcing construction materials.
  • Sourcing contractors and subcontractors to work on the construction stage of the project.
  • Measuring and valuing the work done on site.
  • Dealing with financial issues and coming up with solutions.
  • Managing accounts.
  • Looking for variations and submitting applications.
  • Take-offs.
Benefits:
  • Salary dependant on experience - upto £60,000 per annum.
  • Plus benefits (negotiable in the interview).
