Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor based within the West Midlands area.   • Collect, record and interpret occupational health data using an evidence base and with accuracy.
  • Develop communication skills with specific groups and individuals in a justified, sensitive and mediating way, and able to communicate effectively within the occupational health team and across operational boundaries.
  • Work autonomously and where appropriate, seek support and guidance from OH Manager and/or occupational health physician, and/or line manager and/or Employee Relations for support in more complex occupational health issues.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
  • An Occupational Health qualification coupled with proven experience in an Occupational Health environment would be preferred, however this is not essential.
  • Deliver and help to develop protocols and procedures at operational level.
  • Deliver and help to develop safe and competent practices.
Good communication skills will be required, as you will need to liaise with and advise managers, Employee Relations colleagues and employees and other external medical professionals for support in more complex occupational health issues.A full driving license is essential and a company vehicle will be provided.
