Job Description

Nursery Nurse£18,000 -£22,000 per annumPermanent -Full Time Or Part TimeASAPWe are currently working with a local well-established nursery to recruit for a Nursery Nurse , minimum level 3, for a Day Nursery in South Birmingham.We are looking for

  • Someone to work with all age groups, although the nursery will look to keep staff working where they feel most comfortable, they will rotate staff between rooms from time-to-time.
  • Full time Nursery Nurses to work up to 40 hours per week. Part time Nursery nurses work up to 25 hours per week.
  • This is a well-established childcare provider

Skills Required
  • Have a minimum NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Early Years Framework
  • Be able to work well in a team.
  • Have the ability to enhance and develop childrens learning through play.
  • Be able to monitor and complete essential observations.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Have recent experience working in an early year setting.
  • Be confident in working with babies and young children.
  • Have a passion for working with children.
Some of the Nursery Nurse responsibilities will include:
  • Working as part of a team and providing children activities in line with EYFS curriculum.
  • Monitoring and recording childrens learning, planning next steps.
  • Working to nursery policy and procedures.
  • Building trusting relationships with parents.
  • Supporting children at meal times, sleep times and with personal care.
  • To share the responsibility of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • To attend monthly staff meetings, training and nursery events as required.
