Role: Network EngineerLocation: RemoteSalary: £50KThis is a very sought after and exciting role. The successful candidate will be an experienced and accomplished Network Engineer, a strong communicator and an ambitious, career driven individual.Overview of the role:Working for a telecoms provider with a client-base spanning over 100 countries, operating across 75 datacentres and in 38 of the worlds internet exchanges with 50 global peering points.You will be part of the team, responsible for the maintaining the operational integrity of the companys global core, transit and access networks.The successful candidate will ideally have:** A background in the ISP, MSP or Telecoms industry (or similar).** A customer-focused attitude** Extensive knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN & resilient WAN technologies** Experience providing both onsite and remote support across all tiers of infrastructure** The ability to work at a "4th line" level, dealing with urgent and complex escalations as they arise** Strong organisational and interpersonal skills - you will be working to deadlines on business critical, client-facing projectsOverview of the responsibilities:** Maintaining, deploying, assuring and taking ownership of large-scale network infrastructure** Designing, optimising and implementing platforms** Dealing with 4th line escalations** Optimizing traffic, availability, capacity management and routing resilience** Administering monitoring platforms** Delivering and planning projectsKey technologies and skills:** Latest Cisco hardware and OSs - IOS-XR, IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS** IP networking, switching & routing** Internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment** WAN protocols & circuits - MPLS, Ethernet** Dynamic IP routing protocols - ISIS, BGP, OSPF** Connectivity - MPLS, eBGP** CCNP accredited (or similar)** High- and low-level design documentation** Network availability and management** Fortinet security portfolio including Forti Manager, UTM and Analyser** Firewall support and configuration including IPsec VPN troubleshooting and configs** Network traffic monitoring, packet capture, troubleshooting and analysisDoes this role seem like a good fit for youIf so, please hit apply ASAP - you will be considered as soon as you do!In Technology Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
