Our client is now lookingto expand in their Birmingham facility with this exciting new opportunity.It is an exciting time to be joining, with new strategic expansion plans, an opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Birmingham. Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you an exciting next stepof your careerWorking within a team of talented Engineers, you will be playing an imperative part within the Maintenance department and smooth running of the facility.The key responsibilities for your new role are as follows: * Implement statutory inspection routines.* Carry out preventative & reactive maintenance on plant equipment.* Help investigate & find root causes for repeated breakdowns & implement permanent solutions.* Cover repairs on single and 3 phases electrical systems, 24V control systems & instrumentation.* Cover repairs on various types of pumps, agitators, presses, valves & pipe work systems* Provide input for process modifications.* Work safely in line with recognised codes & practices.* Participate in identifying & executing continuous improvement activities to improve performance.My client is keen to hear from people who possess relevant experience and qualifications including a NVQ or BTEC within Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. Experience working in a maintenance role in a COMAH chemical facility and/or an ATEX environment as wellas a good working knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems particularly Allen Bradley and Wonderware systems would be advantageous.Regardless of previous expertise, you will be both motivated and pragmatic, by nature, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team whist delivering an excellent service to customers.In return, my client is offering an excellent salary of £37,000- £38,000 p.a dependant on experience with an OTE - £44,500 to £45,500, 25 days holiday + Bank holidays, Company pension, Employee assistance programme, Life assurance, access to retail discountsand the opportunity for career progression.If this Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician role is of interest to you, please apply online.
