Transport Planner (Movement Planner) - Ongoing Temp minimum 4 weeks to Start ASAP Salary: 11.50ph Location: Birmingham Central (B2) Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm We are looking for a smart and curious Movement Planner keen for a new challenge to join our clients expanding operations team in Birmingham City Centre. You will be responsible for ensuring that the companys growing number of drivers are fully productive& delivering great service. You will also need to use your knowledge & ability to identify opportunities for transporter agent partners to move vehicles in bulk. Linking up single-leg jobs is therefore critical to the companys success. Duties: . Pre-planning the days of full-time contracted drivers (40% of your week) . Re-planning and updating plans of contracted drivers (10%) . Allocating high-profile work for key customers to existing transporter agent network, and ensuring the agents perform the work as planned (30%) . Grouping jobs together and identifying opportunities for transporter agents to move multiple vehicles in one job lot where possible (10%) . Using this experience to feed back into the Operations Director, identifying and mapping out opportunities (10%) to improve software system Candidate: . Previous experience in a similar role is essential . Experience of planning jobs for drivers and/or transport agents and maximising their productivity, or at least some route planning experience . Highly computer literate and comfortable learning new IT systems. Client are a technology-led company, and we work exclusively on software and online platforms .
