Job Description

Monitoring and Observability Engineer £45,000 - £55,000 + excellent benefits Remote role - Occasional travel to Birmingham or Godalming Office (1-2 times a month)A Monitoring and Observability Engineer is required to join a fantastic team of Monitoring specialists at a Birmingham-based IT managed services provider (MSP). This client has been providing brilliant service to a range of customers for over 35 years.As a Monitoring and Observability Engineer you will be responsible for in being reactive, proactive and predictive in all matters around event and trigger management. You need to be aware of current technical trends in the monitoring and alerting industry.Key Skills:

  • Familiarly with monitoring products like: SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Instana, Elasticsearch, Turbonomic
  • Experience with monitoring protocols such as: SNMP, WMI, WinRM
  • Configuration of back-end tooling as well as managing the front end to take the toolset to its limits
  • Experience with custom monitoring solution development using: API calls, PowerShell, SQL queries
  • Good understanding of Windows and Linux Operating System concepts
  • Certification/ accreditation in wide range of technologies
  • Enthusiasm and keenness to build a career in Monitoring
