These cover the full range of customer types within the bank, including retailcustomers & business clients. Our systems are designed to be accessed viaa number ofplatforms: smartphone, tablet & desktop. What youll be doing…• Using yourextensive in-depth knowledge in your field of expertise, gained over several years invariouspositions within mobileteams • An in depth understanding of the latest tools within your specialist platform e.g. native iOS or native Android • Impartingyour skillsandknowledge to colleagues, stakeholders, and team members to drive the mobile channel forward • Contributingto the Mobile strategy ensuring it aligns with the overall digitalchannelsstrategy. • Creating&controllingbest practice processes for mobile development, rolling them outand embedding themwithin the dev teamtoensure high quality code • Advisingon the latest mobile developer tools and technology to best fit the business needs • Overseeingthetechnical developmentof the mobile team, advising and devisingtrainingplans as needed, and implementing schemes to assist the developers improve their contributions • Facilitating innovationwithin themobile teamto help develop aforward-thinkingculture • Helping toimprove, optimise & modernise our tech stack, leveraging your previous experience to avoid potential pitfalls & promote positive patterns! • Undertakingrecruitment for the mobile team ensuring that the developers recruited are both technically proficientand a good fit culturally for the teamWe need you to have…• Asignificant and successful proven track record as aTeam Lead - leading teams of 5+developing commercial apps • A proven and successful track recordin aSenior Developer role with SME (Subject Matter Expert) experience programmingcommercial apps • SME development experience ofapps using latesttechnology in your given field is helpful • An in depth understanding of the latest cross-platform tooling. e.g. Flutter, React Native • Experience ofleading, supporting,training,andmentoring mid-level and junior engineers • Extensive platform knowledge ofplatformspecificdesign patternsandhow they differbetween mobile platforms • An in-depth understanding ofthe nuances and differences between different testingapproaches.e.g.TDD BDDand be familiar with automated testing • In depth experience of communicating with microservice REST APIs or GraphQL, and a deep understanding of networking/HTTP protocols • Experience using version control tooling & repositories within larger scale operations,and design of a merging strategye.g.git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins or Bitbucket • A good understanding of agile work tracking/ticketing software e.g. Jira, Azure BoardsWed love it if you had, but not essential….• Modern client-side database technologies e.g. Realm • Experience using testing toolse.g. Browsertack, Firebase or AppCenter • Knowledge of commercial scale cloudplatformtools • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform toolsRed Hot Rewards• Generous holidays - 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays and prorated if Part-Time) plus the option to buy more • Up to five extra paid well-being days per year • 20 weeks paid, gender-neutral family leave (52 weeks in total) for expectant parents and those looking to adopt • Market-leading pension and free private medical cover • Flexible benefits include Cycle to Work, wellness and health assessments, and critical illness • Ability to work anywhere in the UK (where the role allows)And theres no waiting around, youll enjoy these benefits from day one.Feeling insatiably curious about this role Apply as soon as you can.
