Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attending, providing maintenance and support across sites nation wide.
  • Troubleshooting and technical problem solving.
  • Point of contact to work with 3rd party partners to update hardware.
  • Carrying out 3rd level technical support
  • Manage individual travel and workload, likely 3/4 days per week on the road.
Related Skills:
  • Wide Area Network, knowledge of main technologies used by BT - Leased Line, SoGEA, FTTC, FTTP
  • Local Area Network, experience of fault finding across LANs and working with external and internal teams. Routers, Access Points (in Meraki), Managed Switches
  • Knowledge of local firewall configuration, ideally experience of working with zero trust network technology - Zscaler
  • Experience of working with Managed Service Provider (CDW) and working within the interface of MSP and internal ICT team
  • Experience of using Windows Image to build and quality assure company thick clients including Intune with MS Surface Pro
  • Experience of installing and fault finding on thin client devices within Citrix
  • Knowledge of the use of Chrome technology within a Citrix environment
  • Experience of configuring mobile devices on to company mobile phone network - Ideally iPhone config and knowledge of BT One Phone
  • Extensive experience of local devices fault-finding through to resolution - being self-contained.
  • Experience of managing local printing solutions - MFDs, including scanning.
  • Knowledge of cloud printing solutions - ideally Uniprint
Personal:
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Driving Licence
  • Overnight stays when required.
  • Possible travel to site on Sunday evenings
  • Requirement to undergo DBS check
  • When not visiting sites prepared to work from Birmingham
