Job Description

Full time Medical Receptionist position available in Edgbaston Birmingham working for a lovely NHS practice. The role will be provided with training and Monday to Friday with shift hours.Client DetailsMy client is a busy GP Practice in a lovely area of Birmingham and is looking for a fantastic Medical Receptionist to join their growing team.Description

    • Greeting patients at the practice with a warm welcome and making them feel at ease.
    • Ensuring the highest level of service is given to all patients at all times.
    • Offering support and direction to patients in a courteous manner and making sure that communication between patients, members of the primary health care team and other secondary agencies is effective.
    • Booking appointments and answering the telephone in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner.
    • Taking payment from patients and updating, maintaining records and updating financial information.
    • Attending to patient queries via email.
    • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
    • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Profile
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and sympathetic manner
  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is desirable
  • Discretion and the ability to deal with sensitive medical information. Knowledge & understanding of GDPR principles.
