Job Description

Mechanical Project Engineer£47,000 - £53,000 PAMonday - FridayOur Aerospace client is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Project Engineer to contribute to the production of cutting-edge aerospace products. In this role, youll be pivotal in maintaining the site, overseeing specific projects and sections to ensure seamlessoperations and minimise downtime.Our client places a high value on agility, a results-driven mind-set and a dedication to personal and professional growth. They foster a collaborative work environment where individuals are valued as much as the impactful work they deliver.Mechanical ProjectEngineer responsibilities:

  • Provide expert engineering and maintenance support, drawing upon your extensive knowledge and experience.
  • Develop design calculations in compliance with relevant standards and legislation, adhering to established formats and procedures.
  • Effectively manage financial aspects of contracts, including project valuations, brief preparation, and client presentations.
  • Champion improvements in reliability and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for issue resolution.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for area maintenance personnel, nurturing their growth and development.
  • Strategically plan and oversee activities during planned downtime.
  • Review and optimise Planned Maintenance tasks for efficiency and validity.
Mechanical Project Engineer qualifications:
  • HNC/HND (preferably a Degree) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in heavy industry such as Foundry, rolling mill, presses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Leadership experience is desirable.
  • Technical expertise in heavy engineering and fast-paced production environments.
  • Proficiency in analysing technically complex problems and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Hydraulics
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and drive positive change in an engineering and maintenance environment.
Mechanical Project Engineer Perks:
