Job Description

Join us on the Journey... Were seeking a dynamic Marketing Services Executive to join our Scheduled Coach Marketing team to help to elevate our brand to new heights by delivering our marketing strategy across all physical customer touchpoints. You will be workingon a hybrid basis from our Head Office in Birmingham.In this role, youll be part of the team which drives our marketing efforts on our vehicles, at coach stops, coach stations and airports across the UK. Youll be responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of strategies that will help ourcustomers to easily find us, understand us and use our services, as well as helping us to stand out from the competition.Your remit will cover brand, retail, signage/infrastructure and information projects for our UK and Irish businesses, as well as overseeing design and production jobs for internal business functions across a broad range of subject areas. Youll be involvedin a variety of work and become an important point of contact for both marketing and general business projects.Working for our Senior Marketing Services Manager and alongside our Marketing Services Manager, you will be responsible for briefing our creative design studio and proofing design outputs against the brief, whilst assisting with budget and stock management.Youll be expected to represent your team in company-wide meetings and undertake site visits and competitor reviews.   • Assist the Marketing Services Team in executing the Marketing Services plan across all customer touchpoints for our UK and Irish businesses.
  • Contribute to the development and installation of both printed and digital retail and promotional marketing materials. Materials will be located in coach stations, airports, offices and third-party venues, as well as on board our vehicles
  • Co-ordinate the development, production, and implementation of signage and wayfinder navigational information at crucial customer touchpoints, such as coach stations, airports, and coach stops
  • Ensure the timely distribution and correct positioning of high-quality customer information across all sales channels, including disruption management
  • Work closely with relevant departments to create new and innovative solutions to customer needs within our customer touchpoints and collaborate with other departments to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with overall business goals
  • Check that all marketing activity supports the development of the UK Passenger Coach brand identity and complies with brand guidelines
  • Keep internal stakeholders updated on relevant coach marketing activity to help maintain and improve the profile of the Marketing Services team.
  • Endeavour to work with external stakeholders, such as Local Transport Authorities, to ensure we have the biggest brand presence on their infrastructure and on their physical and digital customer information
  • Manage relationship with key suppliers to ensure that all materials are delivered to the highest standards and cost efficiencies are maximised
What were looking for...
  • Minimum 2 years experience of working within a similar marketing environment or industry.
  • A creative and strategic thinker who is able to work flexibly and proactively with a broad range of stakeholders to solve business problems
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail coupled with an engaging communication style
  • Strong numerical and computing skills (mainly Google products), with good commercial awareness and budget handling experience
  • A good understanding of the design, print and production management process for printed materials and physical signage. A basic understanding of digital screen technology
  • Confidence to representing the National Express business externally, with a willingness to travel as the role requires (locations within our remit are spread across the UK, and includes additional destinations in Ireland)
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent time-served experience
