Job Description

Lynx Employment Services are a professional recruitment company based in Sheffield. Established in 2001, we have provided temporary and permanent staff to many different public and private companies.Lynx always try to provide a high standard of staff therefore successful candidates must be able to show pride and commitment to their work.We are recruiting on behalf of our client - Amey, who is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a Consulting Business based in Birmingham. This is a permanent full time position that will involve a mix of working from home and office working.Pay rate: £250 per dayStart Date: ASAPMain Duties:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and preparation of periodic budgets and forecasts
  • Completion of audit packs to assist in interim / annual audit process
  • Production and reporting of cashflow forecasts
  • Reporting and explanation of variances to profit centre managers
  • Analysis to help business managers understand and improve financial performance.
  • Building relationships with P&L owners at various levels such as Project Managers, Project Directors, Account Directors and Business Directors
Experiences and Skills:
  • Qualified or QBE. CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
  • Ideally you will have worked within a large service organisation
  • Experience with or exposure to IFRS15 would be an advantage.
  • Ability to achieve tight deadlines with high degree of quality and understanding
  • Strong IT skills including good knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with SAP preferable
  • Good knowledge of accounting practices, statutory regulations and reporting requirements and experience of forecasting
  • Profit centre reporting and variance analysis experience
  • Good communication skills at all levels
