Job Description

Trinity House Group is pleased to be recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of an education organisation in Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a vital role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with the financeteam and various departments within the organisation to provide accurate and insightful financial information to support decision-making processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure adherence to budgets and financial targets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
Qualifications:
  • Full accounting qualification is desirable.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in the education sector is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
