Job Description

£34,000 Plus bonus and many other benefits Maintenance is essential in the running of any company, especially automotive. Our client is looking for a maintenance engineer to join the team, ensuring the effective day to day maintenance of all machinery, building and factory equipmentObjectives:

  • Provide routine maintenance repairs, servicing production equipment and building services.
Duties to be performed:
  • Repair and service all factory machinery as and when required.
  • Participate in on-going day to day maintenance of the factory in general.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as and when required.
  • Participate in trouble shooting activities in respect to plant associated breakdowns,
  • To undertake planned preventative/predictive maintenance activities in accordance with the annual TPM schedule.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping at all times.
  • Any other duties as and when required.
  • Plant safety team/committee to discuss the following items: First aid, fire safety procedures, fire suppression systems, spill kit training, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, Manual handling, working at height, near-miss/accident reporting, 5s Housekeepingaudits, plant & jig cleaning, handling & storage of dangerous substances, toolbox talks, DSEAR, Emissions testing, SMP (solvent management plan), Isocyanate testing, spray booth clearance testing, LEVs, legionnaire testing, Noise level testing, compressedair written scheme of examinations, gas burner servicing, site security, lifting equipment testing (FLTs, lifts, manipulators, etc.) Electrical testing, HV transformer testing.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • To be able to perform this position effectively a basic knowledge of Numeracy and Literacy is required.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing or production environment in a maintenance engineer capacity is essential.
  • Must be trained to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area (i.e. performing engineering operations)
  • Should have either hydraulic or electrical experience preferably both.
  • Familiarity with ISS, Eisenmann, ABB, Caldan and Aerogen plant equipment advantageous.
Hours
  • 14.00-22.00- Fixed
