Job Description

An emerging division of a global manufacturing company is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join its newly acquired site in Kings Norton. You will be tasked with maintaining new machinery and plant and will be joining a stock-listed company that actively supports the training and development of staff who wish to advance in their career. The UK division is investing heavily in capital machinery,and it is growing its team to keep up with the demand. The company acquired another business in 2022 which has given them a distinct advantage. You will be working two shifts, earlies – 06:00-14:00, and lates – 14:00-22:00. In return, you will receive a salary of up to £47,283 per annum, plus overtime circa £5k p.a, 3% employer pension contribution (5% employee contribution), sick pay, plus the annualcost of living pay rise.As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery including robotics, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and PLCs.
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with an annual TPM schedule.
  • Assisting in capital project installations.
  • Working within a Kaizen environment on improvement projects throughout the factory.
To be a successful Maintenance Engineer, you will have the following skills and experiences:
  • Previous experience in an electrical and mechanical, service, and repair environment.
  • Experience in maintaining industrial machinery and plant.
  • The ability to read electrical drawings.
  • Flexibility to work shifts.
  • Previous time served in the role or relevant qualifications.
