Machine Operator£28,000 - BirminghamLooking for an experienced Machine Operator to be trained to work on paper / tissue production environment based Nr Aston / ErdingtonTraining rate £10.83 per hour, rising to £11.83 once trained.Must be able to willing to work 12hour 06:00 - 18:00 days and 18:00 - 06:00 Night shift on a 4 day on 4 day off rotation.Overtime available. On average hours your annual income will be around £28,000.Job Spec:Ensure Adherence to Health and safety procedures• Follow all Site Safety rules oneself and influence colleagues to do the same• Carry out pre-use lifting checks• Carry out equipment guarding checks• Maintain housekeeping standardsEnsure Product Quality• Carry out Operator Quality Checks to standard defined in Quality Procedure• Be vigilant on quality of product continuously, specifically:o Check perf and lamination, if applicable, quality every time the rewinder auto rejects a logo Check pack and case quality every time a poly reel is changed• Complete MR, raw material or FG NCR/complaint document• Escalate to management team any defects outside of agreed Quality tolerancesProduct Efficiency and Waste Control• Achieve output Targets set through effective teamwork• Record downtime into spreadsheets on computer system accurately listing symptom/ cause / remedy, adding shift log count• Use and develop tools provided, namely:o Process Fault Treeso Equipment Operating Manualso SOPso Centre-lining• Follow the Cleaning Schedules- listed by shift and weekly• Work as a team to keep waste to a minimum and rework product where possibleMaintenance• Perform Weekly Machine Inspection and highlight any defects immediately via Work Request system• On use of a spare part fill in Spare Part Replacement FormContinuous Improvement• Highlight any improvement ideas to Line Manager with detail of the opportunitySalary £28,000 + company benefitsPlease send your CV to Andrew for consideration.
