Job Description

Are you a Logistics Coordinator looking for a new challenge in a busy manufacturing organisationA friendly, busy manufacturing company have a requirement for a Logistics Co-ordinator to be the link between customers and manufacturing. This is a high- volume manufacturing environment, where they are very much at the forefront of new technology.If you are a Logistics Coordinator, who has lots of energy, drive and determination and who positively thrives in a challenging, constantly changing environment, this could be just the job for you!The role is commutable from Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Hall Green, Tyseley, Dudley, Tamworth, Birmingham, Brownhills, Cannock, Coventry, Redditch and AldridgeBENEFITS

DUTIES OF THE LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR
  • Link between customers and manufacturing
  • Analyse the Supply Control Centre
  • Ensure correct logistics procedures are followed
  • Monitor CHEP counts in line with customer demands
  • Control special transport costs
  • Agree what extraordinary costs can be passed to the customer
  • Attend daily meetings to report misses from previous day
  • Forklift Truck management to be controlled and reviewed
  • Maintain and control stocks on site
REQUIREMENT OF A LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
  • Relevant experience as Logistics Senior level
  • To have also worked in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience of special transport
  • A good level of IT literacy
  • Stock management experience
