Job Description

Job Profile for Logistics and Distribution ManagerBennett and Game recruitment are working with an established manufacturer based in Birmingham who are actively seeking a Logistics and Distribution Manager to oversee the full process from warehousing through to transportation and delivery.Logistics and Distribution Manager Position Overview

  • Daily operations of the Logistics department
  • Direct and optimise the full order cycle including outbound deliveries to clients and collections/returns
  • Develop business by gaining new contracts and account management
  • Ability to analyse logistical issues and provide solutions
  • Implement new processes to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure continual development of business performance including fuels costs, environmental factors and legislations.
  • Experience with WMS/TMS systems to coordinate the order cycle
  • Experience producing import/export documentation (Cl,BoL, PL, CoO etc.)
  • Work along side the finishing department to ensure products are on time
  • Reporting and recommendations to senior management
Logistics and Distribution Manager Position Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Logistic Manager
  • Have a logical and methodical approach to work
  • Experience negotiating contracts
  • Experience with ERP systems, Shipping automations and Microsoft
  • Experience and full understanding of import and export documentation regulations
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-manage
