Job Description

Lynx Employment Services are a professional recruitment company based in Sheffield. Established in 2001, we have provided temporary and permanent staff to many different public and private companies. Lynx always try to provide a high standard of staff thereforesuccessful candidates must be able to show pride and commitment to their work.We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is looking for experienced Loading Shovel Operative. This is at their Birmingham site. This is full time for a period of 5 weeks in the first instance but may be extended.Role responsibilityReporting directly to the Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • The safe operation of our loading shovel (Volvo L150H)
  • Housekeeping and delivering excellent site standards.
  • Working with a team focused on great customer service, especially providing good quality material and on-time deliveries to a varied customer base
  • Carrying out inspections on the plant and carry out housekeeping tasks and basic daily maintenance
  • Ensuring stocks are replenished and maintained to good levels.
The ideal CandidateAlthough this would be beneficial, you do not need previous experience of working with Ready Mix concrete as we can provide full training from our friendly teams at other local sites. However, you do need to be a passionate learner and committed to learningnew skills. You will also need to work in a collaborative manner and rise to challenges.You will be curious and motivated to drive not only your development, but to help with the growth of the team too. A commitment to high safety standards, both for yourself and your team, will also help to make the site a success. Furthermore, good customerservice skills and the ability to build friendly rapport with a wide range of people would be beneficial.Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to permContract length: 1 monthSalary: £18.00 per hourBenefits: Company pensionAbility to commute/relocate:
