Job Description

THE COMPANY This established group and their venues are the go to for a variety of large scale events including conferences, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, sporting events, exhibitions and much more for a huge range of exciting clients. THE ROLE With an ever-expanding event calendar, there is now the opportunity for a Lead Staging Technician to join the technical team as a core member of the team providing staging support ranging from screens and video walls to flying scenic elements and sets. Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of technicians on event builds and breakdowns.
  • Leading a team to mark out a floor for an exhibition build. Working from scale drawings.
  • Managing event Build, Live and Derig phases.
  • Managing Exhibition load in with a focus on Health and Safety.
  • Flying scenic elements, screens, video walls and graphics using both electric hoists and counterweight fly systems.
  • Managing speakers, Clients and Presenters backstage and issuing instructions and microphones where appropriate.
  • Building temporary staging structures.
THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have previous experience in a senior staging role as well as hands on experience in managing a team either directly or onsite. You will be knowledgeable in build and de rig of a variety of staging and scenic elements with the abilityto confidently problem solve and juggle multiple projects at once.
