Following the award of new long-term programmes and significant investment, a leading manufacturer of innovative solutions to thetransportation sectors has a new vacancy for a Lead Quality Engineer. An experience Quality professional, you will be taskedwith leading the APQP process activities and candidates are sought with experience working in the automotive or aerospace sectors.Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, West Bromwich, Redditch, Solihull, Warwick, Castle Bromwich, Leamington Spa, Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 60,000 + excellent benefitsSuitable for: Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, APQP Engineer, Lead Quality Engineer. The RoleLead & support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities - internally, across plants and suppliers.Coordinate and conduct internal assessments / auditsRegularly report performance, deviations, and trends in quality activities to relevant partiesEnsure any internal or external (supplier) deviations or non-conformances found in the product or processes are analysed, tracked, corrected, and further prevented.Establish and maintain an escalation mechanism according to the quality strategySupport the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality strategyPerform quality activities according to the seven ISO quality management principles, system, environmental and safety requirements.Ensure non-conformances of work products, processes, and project activities are identified, recorded, communicated to interested parties - tracked, resolved, and further prevented.The CandidateExcellent knowledge of quality tools and methods.Auditor qualifications: audit procedure, negotiation, conflict management.Knowledge of advanced manufacturing processesA minimum of 5 years professional experience (preferably in manufacturing companies within the automotive or aerospace industry).Experience in high volume and/or R&D environments would be an advantage.For more information regarding the role of Lead Quality Engineer, please send a CV to Jarrod Sellers
