Job Description

Lead Data Governance Analyst to actively lead Complex projects and programmes which drive the organisations data management, governance and control framework. For an industry leading, award winning financial organisationBenefits Include:

I would like to talk to applicants with extensive Data Governance experience, specifically Data Management, catalogues, stewardship and QualityYou will work closely with business areas to maintain and continuously improve enterprise data assets through data catalogues, data stewardship and data quality management, while also supporting continuous improvement through process optimisation and engagementwith corporate projectsResponsibilities:
  • To champion Data Governance throughout the organisation
  • To lead a team of Business Partners ensuring excellent Governance across the business
  • Support the MI Centre of Excellence,
  • Manage Committee schedules, including the submission of papers and packs to Senior Management and Executives
  • Work in a project environment, acting as an SME to facilitate adherence to the data governance framework and support decision making.
  • Represent the division across small & medium sized projects in relevant forums and committees,
  • Influence departmental MI teams and/or data stewards
  • Contribute to cross-functional MI team, working with IT and Change, to ensure that data impacts are identified and managed to conclusion
Experience required:
  • Experience in working with data across a range of sources (e.g., relational and dimensional databases, file systems, semi-structured and unstructured data, models, spreadsheets)
  • Understanding of data governance, quality management
  • Familiarity with business analysis and process modelling and lineage
  • Awareness of data modelling and data warehouse methodologies
  • Risk Management
  • Stakeholder engagement, management and collaboration with an ability to question and challenge, put forward new ideas and gain buy in through key working relationships
  • Ability to use the following systems/technologies:
  • SQL
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite
  • Data catalogues/metadata management solutions (e.g. Collibra) preferred but not essential
