Laboratory Technician to c£25k neg dep exp + benefitsBirminghamOur Birmingham based client originated more than half a century ago and are recognised as a market leader in the niche electroplating sector for supply to a diverse range of clients and industry sectors throughout the UK.With accreditation to a range of standards including IATF16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001, as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Laboratory Technician with experience ideally gained within the Automotive sector to complement their established and highly professional manufacturing team.As a 1st tier supplier to many of the major automotive manufacturers, the Laboratory Technician role demands a proactive and enthusiastic approach in an often fast paced and pressurised environment, and the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical analysis for maintaining ongoing process consistency, developing standards, test methods and processes for the laboratory, assisting the quality function with continuous product improvement and reporting of analysis to numerous departments in the business taking responsibility for the outcomes.You will perform physical and environmental product testing in line with customer specifications, processed parts and customer concerns as well as environmental monitoring and reporting to ensure legal compliance, and will support the business compliance on an ongoing basis to ISO14001 including performing audits where necessary.To be considered for this varied and challenging Laboratory Technician role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to a minimum of A Level standard or above (ideally degree qualified) in a relevant Chemistry or equivalent discipline and will essentially demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of volumetric chemical analysis.You will possess a flexible working approach and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team and adopt a meticulous approach to attention to detail, with excellent communication skills at all levels (both written and oral) and good all-round analytical abilities with a desire to progress your career within a market leading niche sector organisation.Contact the Production Team at Premier Technical Recruitment on or email your cv in the strictest confidence to for further details.
