CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Development Manager, to join a growing pharmaceutical contract testing services company in Birmingham. The successful candidate must have a strong background in pharmaceutical formulation (ideally tablet development).This is a permanent role with flexibility of hybrid working. The Company:Our client supports API characterisation and tablet development projects for a wide range of pharmaceutical clients, and have plans to double their testing capacity. Laboratory Development Manager Role:You will be key in helping drive the growth and increase the size of the team. Working closely with and managing other members of the team to ensure projects are performed to a high standard and within time frames.Responsibilities:- Managing a small team.- Generating quotations, liaising with customers to understand their requirements and discussing opportunities with existing and potential new clients.- Attending conferences (domestic and international).- Working closely with external providers with the commissioning of new equipment.- Ensure the team performs scientific compaction tests as and when required, and be able to report the information confidently to clients.Your Background:- Degree qualified in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.- Strong background in pharmaceutical formulation and/or tablet development.- Management experience gained within a industry background.- Good customer service skills.- Proven track record in identifying new opportunities with existing and new clients.- Previous experience working with marketing.- Experienced in material science and powder compression testing (ESSENTIAL).Apply:It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
