Jonathan Lee Recruitment are currently looking for a Lab Technician / Engineer for a Global Tier 1 Automotive Company. The skills and role entails:-Responsible and accountable for day-to-day operations of the warranty analysis process.Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, VDA etc.)Proven track record in metrology relating to mechanical, optical and electronic technologies.Able to work under own initiative to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.Ensure the safe running condition of all QA test equipment and ensure everyone is abiding to safe working practices.Lead improvement activities based on use of data from warranty performance.Take an active role in warranty strategyincluding customer negotiation on sample sizes.Develop test procedures and instructions to support the analysis process using both customer requirements and international standards.Ensure lessons learned from warranty analysis are shared and understood by relevant stakeholders.Ability to work as part of a team and co-ordinate timely response to ensure internal and customer timings are met.Wiling to travel internationally to support customer testing and undertake necessary training as required by Nippon Seiki group.Specific skills and experience to role:Competent in warranty analysis in accordance with customer requirements such as BMW: standard GS 95004 Failure analysisPart analysis of field complaints and Mercedes: MBN 10448 Field Failure Analysis VDA marketing and service field failure analysis.Strong practical abilities with set-up and operation equipment in the following fields: -Electronics. (Oscilloscopes, PSUs DMMs etc)Acoustics.
