Job Description

Were recruiting a Junior HR Business Partner with our public sector clients in Birmingham. Excellent benefits, fantastic hybrid working policy, and progression opportunities available, paying up to £32,000.Client DetailsOur client is an esteemed public sector organisation based in Birmingham.DescriptionAs a Junior HR Business Partner, your role encompasses a multifaceted approach to employee relations and recruitment, centered in Birmingham with a competitive salary of up to £32,600 per annum on a permanent contract. You will take ownership of cases frominception to resolution, collaborating closely with line managers to provide expert advice within organizational frameworks. A key liaison between the business and the People Directorate, you will navigate employee relations intricacies, mediating solutions,and commissioning support from OD and L&D teams. In addition, you will contribute to internal investigations, assist in workforce planning, and actively engage in policy development, presenting proposals to staff councils and networks for feedback. On therecruitment front, you will liaise with client group managers, advising on job design, conducting evaluations, and overseeing the entire recruitment process-from drafting job adverts to assessing applications and facilitating assessment centers. Your responsibilitiesalso extend to offering interview coaching, managing HR applicant tracking systems, and collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to share insights. This role offers a vibrant and supportive work environment, fostering professional development opportunitiesand contributing to the ongoing transformation of the police complaints system.ProfileEssential Requirements

  • Experience in providing advice, guidance, and coaching to managers
  • Excellent knowledge of recruitment and/or employee relations laws
  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Confident communicator with influencing skills
  • Understanding of General Data Protection regulations and experience in protecting personal data
  • Knowledge or experience working with marginalised individuals, ensuring their voices are heard
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
Desirable Qualifications
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development at Level 5 or above
  • Formal accreditation in mediation skills
  • Working knowledge of success profiles
