Job Description

JavaDeveloper Opportunity in Birmingham, West Midlands – Hybrid Work Model with 2 Days in the Office Monthly!As a skilled Java Developer with proficiency in Java 8/11, Spring, and Java Spring Boot, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating new features for their cutting-edge cloud platform software.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of highly skilled front-end developers on diverse projects, contributing to the entire development lifecycle.
  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders as part of a cross-functional software team, showcasing strong client-facing skills.
  • Utilise your 4+ years of Java development experience to bring innovation and excellence to the platform.
  • Apply core skills such as Java 8/11, Spring, SQL, and experience with Git for version control.
  • Embrace Agile/Scrum methodologies and demonstrate expertise in CI/CD practices.
Core Skills & Experience for this Backend Developer role:
  • Proficiency in Java 8/11 with recent experience in Spring and Java Spring Boot.
  • Strong background in SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with Version Control Software, such as Git, GitHub, GitLab.
  • Agile/Scrum development experience.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to understand and manage the impact of detailed software issues on system-level performance.
  • Application of software design principles, design patterns, test-driven development, SOLID principles, etc.
