Job Description

Job Title - IT Support (Logistics Industry)Location - BirminghamSalary - £40,000 - £45,000I am looking for an experienced IT Support to join a leading logistics company based in Birmingham. This role is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional to join a well-respected team and make a real impact on the business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing IT systems and providing technical support for users
  • Troubleshooting and resolving IT problems, both hardware and software
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and network equipment
  • Providing IT training and guidance to staff
  • Monitoring system performance and making necessary adjustments
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of software and hardware
  • Managing and monitoring security systems to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Ensuring the effective use of IT resources within the company
Technical Skills and Experience Required:
  • Proven experience as an IT Support in the logistics industry
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and other operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, such as IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience with network security solutions, such as firewalls, antivirus, and VPN
  • Ability to install and configure network equipment, such as routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Bash
  • Familiarity with database management systems
