Job Description

About Us:Kuiper Technology is an expanding IT reseller based in Birmingham, committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients.We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our team.Overview:As a 1st Line Engineer Apprentice at Kuiper Technology, youll play a pivotal role in providing technical support to our external customers and internal staff. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues via phone, email, and on-site visits.Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st line technical support, addressing queries promptly via phone, email, or in-person
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, adhering to service management principles
  • Ensure SLAs are met for responding to and resolving service tickets
  • Take ownership of user problems, proactively seeking resolutions
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation by logging all calls and incidents
  • Collaborate with IT support team members to resolve complex issues
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and vendors to resolve escalated issues
  • Handle alert tickets and escalate as necessary
What we are looking for: Essential skills and attributes:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • IT literate with a passion for the industry
Beneficial:
  • Having a full UK driving license is preferred, but is not essential to apply.
Entry requirements:
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.
