Working with a leading group in Birmingham in their search for a permanent IT Project Manager paying £47,000 + benefits such as - 4 x annual salary in life insurance - Income protection - Pension of 12.25% employer contributions - Private medical insurance - Gym membership - Season ticket loan - Health screening - Annual leave 25 days + 8 bank holidays - increases with length of service to 30 days annual leave + bank holidays - Flexible benefits (buy/selling annual leave, additional life insurance, dental insurance, cycle to work scheme) - 35 hour working week Lead and manage the delivery of multiple technical projects and/or workstreams simultaneously including responsibility for project team management and adherence to processes and governance to ensure successful delivery in terms of time, cost, quality, benefits,business readiness and transition into BAU Develop relationships with Project Sponsors to agree project deliverables and scope, project timings, budget, expected benefits, reporting mechanisms and escalation of risks and issues Build and manage project teams including developing team members, managing conflict, and addressing issues of personal performance to support delivery of a successful project Lead project teams in the execution of all project activities including team set-up, budgeting, development of project approach and managing deliverables Experience of matrix managing staff and project teams within a performance management environment Project Management related professional qualifications (qualified or qualifying) e.g. APMP, Prince2, Agile PM, Scrum Master certification Strong project management skills including dealing with several projects and stakeholders with competing deadlines and priorities Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Visio, Project, SharePoint Online and Teams Outstanding communication skills including clear and concise writing skills, active listening skills and strong verbal skills Ability to influence and negotiate and create buy-in at all levels Experience of managing external consultants/suppliers under a statement of works (SoW) and/or call-off frameworks Experience of preparing materials for and facilitating workshops across business units and project work-streams Ability to plan proactively with experience of creating and managing project plans escalating deviations as appropriate Ability to develop a team approach and provide clear direction to a group or individuals to achieve the objectives of the project Ability to plan proactively, by thinking and looking ahead and to creatively solve problems A broad understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies Excellent planning and organisational skills including the ability to manage own time and work effectively with minimum supervision and plan the work of the project team Experience managing risks and issues effectively
