Job Description

Grant Thornton Select is a Network of interim finance professionals who provide an on-demand, interim and project accounting service for us and our clients.Select community members undertake interim accounting assignments and projects for Grant Thornton’s Special Projects team. Whilst working on a project you will typically work on-site within the finance team of one of our clients, diverse organisations from all industry sectors ranging from larger SMEs to multi-billion corporates and listed entities.What skills are we looking forRight now, we are looking for new members who are able to work in the Birmingham area to join our community and undertake projects in the following fields:

  • Streamlining month-end and quarter-end
  • Half and full year end accounts preparation under IFRS or US GAAP
  • Audit pack preparation, support and liaison
  • Group accounts consolidation
  • Financial reporting, including IFRS15, IFRS16 and IFRS17
  • Review and improvement of financial systems, processes and controls
  • Interim financial support and troubleshooting

  • Actively looking to work on projects across the Birmingham area
  • We’re looking for qualified accountants who are members of a professional body (ACCA, ACA, ICAEW, CIMA or equivalent).
  • We need practical, hands-on financial accounting experience, in practice or industry.
  • You’ll also need a PSC (or similar) set up or an Umbrella company.
  • You don’t have to have previous interim experience, but be committed to working in that way for at least 12 months.
