Job Description

Our client, a service provider business based in South Birmingham is looking for an Interim Finance Director. This candidate will be working alongside the CEO to look after asset management, financial reporting, assisting with cost report preparation, andoverseeing internal controls.Location: Birmingham (5 days on site)Contract length: 12 monthsContract hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours a weekSalary: £700 - £850 per dayKey Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Director

  • Supporting business leaders in the business planning process, preparing financial feasibilities, business cases and annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparing monthly operational information to monitor financial performance
  • Improve and streaming current processes and controls
  • Undertaking strategic and tactical financial analysis and evaluation of projects to assist the Executive Board in understanding how each will impact on the growth of the company and retrospectively ensure that the stated benefits of each project are deliveredto the business
  • Design and standardise reporting related to operational metrics and financial information
  • Assist in training of operational teams in the use of business reporting to understand and improve their financial performance
  • Supporting the delivery of operational improvement initiatives and implementation of internal and external best practices to enhance process efficiency and quality of outputs
Key Essentials of the Interim Finance Director
  • Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Asset Management
  • Computer literate with strong excel skills
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
