Job Description

Integration Engineer - DevOps / Agile - Remote Integration / office 365 / Microsoft / Azure / remote / power apps / stakeholder managementIntegration Engineer required for a leading Public services company based in the Midlands to be responsible for aspects of the software development lifecycle, which includes scoping, technical design, build, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment along with support for Integration Services. The Integration Engineer will also liaise with key business stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the customer.The ideal candidate for this position will be a team player who enjoys working within a fast-paced environment and is able apply their integration knowledge and technical expertise to the delivery of integration services, where the rate of change and requirement for new solutions is expected to be high.PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS FULLY REMOTE - you may be expected to travel to UK based offices from time to time and be a part of the out of hours support team rotaMust be SC cleared or able to undergo and achieve SC clearance.Key Responsibilities

  • Take part in team initiatives to improve the internal processes, capability and service offering of the DevOps team
  • Contribute to and deliver continuous improvement of service delivery for implemented Integration solutions
  • Work directly with customers throughout the entire software lifecycle of projects (define, design, develop, test, implement, maintain)
  • Provide direct technical support to users for Integration systems, making use of ITSM toolsets and liaising with other service management and technical teams within an ITIL framework
  • Design, specify, build, test and implement new or changed Integration solutions
  • Adhere to and deliver against agreed ITS SIAM processes for incident, problem and change management
  • Create and update documentation as necessary across the whole software lifecycle maintaining high standards of detail, accuracy, presentation and quality of content. Adhere to agreed templates and corporate branding standards
    • Key Skills
  • Deep knowledge and considerable experience of Middleware and Integration systems.
  • Extensive software delivery experience and a practical understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, agile software development and DevOps)
  • Detailed experience of working within Agile and TOGAF aligned processes to a detailed level, able to maintain and manage architectural designs within these frameworks.
  • Have an Industry recognized certification in Software Development, Service Management or Technical product development. In addition, they should possess industry recognised certifications in their respective areas of domain expertise.
  • Have strong understanding of ITIL/SIAM Service Management standards (as a minimum ISO 20000, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001).
  • Possess a good understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns, demonstrable experience of REST API, JSON and XML data types.
  • Experience in the development of integration using IDOCS, RFC and BAPI experience on the HCM platform. Technical Knowledge of Dell Boomi is an advantage but not essential.
  • Possess excellent people skills that facilitate smooth and positive interactions in a matrix environment, building trust in their expert opinion so that interactions result in the establishment of quick moving, long lasting relationships with key business resources.
