Job Description

Infrastructure Team Leader - Infrastructure Lead - Azure & Hosted Infrastructure Senior Engineer - Senior Infrastructure Engineer - ISP - Telecoms - Connectivity - Azure - VMware - Hyper-V - Terraform - Midlands - HOME BASED - £55,000 - £60,000 pa + Excellent Benefits for a Leading Telecoms Provider.Summary:My client is one of the fastest growing privately owned technology businesses in the UK and is continuing to accelerate their growth. They require an experienced and highly motivated senior engineer for their Hosted datacentre IaaS presence and public cloud offerings. Responsible for managing, monitoring, designing and implementing solutions comprising of hosted servers, backup, business continuity and the Microsoft server stack (Windows, Exchange, SQL etc. as appropriate) based in Hosted VMware, Hyper-V and Azure platforms.Responsibilities:

  • Senior Infrastructure Engineer will ensure the Private platform and cloud services are actively monitored, administered and updated to ensure uptime KPIs are met
  • Responsibility of datacentre network infrastructure and their related services
  • Provide consultation and implementation of Private Hosting to Azure services migrations
  • Work as team leader of the hosted & cloud platform team, directing and mentoring supporting staff in the department to accomplish the departmental and company wider goals
    • Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Azure services (Azure Monitor, AzureAD, Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery)
  • Complex IT infrastructure solutions, including LAN networks, Server hardware, HPE SAN storage, data backup systems and the Microsoft server stack etc.
  • Experience in designing and installing complex VMware/Hyper-V server Virtualisation solutions
  • Experience with the Microsoft server stack of software, e.g. Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, SQL Server, Exchange Server etc.
