OverviewA leading business have exclusively partnered with City Recruitment Group Transport & Logistics in their search for an Import & Export Manager for their facility in Birmingham. Their imported (Far East) raw materials and finished goods portfolio is increasing, as is their export sales market, leading to the creation of this role that will focus on import / Export compliance across the business, as well as readying the business for Brexit. Their national and global presence remains strong from a reliant customer base, however, the ongoing challenges of Brexit will no doubt reshape this businesses distribution moving forwards.Your new Import / Export Manager roleAs a Import / Export Manager you will be responsible for key business contracts from inbound, receipt of order and customer fulfilment - including: Operational Planning, carrier Scheduling, Order Distribution via 3rd party providers, Customs clearance documentation and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the re-tender of Carrier relations across the UK, Europe and Worldwide. You will manage the administration function in the reviewing and acceptance of T&Cs, Customer payment terms, Delivery dates, PODs and compliance for a Bonded operation. You will be the interface between the senior management team, Suppliers and end Customer. As the Import / Export Manager you will support and advise customers on all international import / export requirements; Raise, complete and adapt EUR1 forms and certificate of origin paperwork. You’ll be ensuring compliance with customs regulations, including overseeing correct classification of products as per classification codes, overseeing brokerage activity, developing bonded warehouse SOPs, and managing the overall customs procedures. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the business is compliant and passes HMRC audits, including risk identification and mitigation.What youll need to succeed in this Import / Export / Customs Compliance role;
