Job Description

Humanities Teacher required to teach History, Geography and some Religious Education at a fabulous SEMH school in South Birmingham. This school is looking to add an experienced and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to the team to teach small classes of KeyStage 3 & 4 students with a range of SEMH needs. As a Humanities Teacher you will be tasked to teach across the Humanities curriculum and will be given a particular focus on your subject specialist ( History, Geography or RE ). This vibrant, bright and busySEMH School is a perfect setting for a Humanities Teacher who is passionate about breaking down barriers to education and inspiring a love for learning.With an experienced and dedicated leadership team, outstanding Teachers and committed Teaching Assistants, this school provides a nurturing environment for students who have faced barriers to education. As a humanities Teacher you will teach small classes ofchildren and receive outstanding support from in class Teaching Assistants. Behaviour is not extreme and the support staff do a fantastic job of supporting childrens needs. This role requires a qualified Humanities Teacher who is comfortable Teaching a minimumof two subjects out of History, Geography or Religious Education. Job Role:

  • Teaching Humanities to small classes of students with SEMH needs
  • Utilising experienced TAs to support childrens needs
  • Planning and delivering lessons that are tailored to the abilities of students
  • Delivering intervention sessions to small groups
